Little bit confused...can anyone shed any light please?
We have both just done eligibilty checkers for better rate balance transfer credit cards.
Not huge balances just nice to pay less while the balances remain for the next few months and for purchaces made int he future.
I was preapproved and succsfull, my hubby not
We just dont understand, why yes to me and not him??? we both have br on files until july...he also has repo on until aprox sept...but he earns way more and has better credit scores on all agencies.
So...my question is:
Could a credit card that we cancelled years ago that is still showing his file as £0 balance but green ticks each month be causing the problem? It is also in our old address.
We kept it on hoping it would be a good thing but im now wondering:huh: if so should we get it removed? or is it more the repo?
thank you...appreciate its not the end of the world just would be nice if anyone had any idea:)

It is also in our old address. - Certainly does not help that it has an old address. If its on your file with green ticks then I doubt very much that its actually cancelled; ring the company and find out and cancel it if its going against you; or if it is still open would they offer you a good deal on balance transfer
We kept it on hoping it would be a good thing but im now wondering:huh: if so should we get it removed? or is it more the repo? - Most likely to be because of this but I don't think the other things help either
