There used to be some silly bint in the standard, who every week would go on about generation rent and how recent graduates like her couldn't get on the ladder.

Eventually she caved in as prices got further and further away, now she moans about the shoebox she bought in an area she hates.

Like a lot of people she could afford a place, just not in an area she wanted. Journalists for the dailies seem to be the worst in thinking they deserve to live in Zone 1.

in her particular circumstances i would also prefer to buy the studio in Zone 1 rather than 2bed house in suburbs and bother myself with travelling.

even if one day she no longer needs to travel to London regularly she will let this studio to foreign student who always pay on time and perhaps will get more money that letting 2 bed house in the middle of nowhere with the tenants who one day fail to pay the rent

i think everyone's circumstances are different and one of the point she is trying to make is London is so diverse and there always will be demand for all kinds of property striating from knighthsbridge penthouses down to 1 bed flats in ex council blocks.

the property prices long term are driven by simply supply/demand logic and all other factors influence the prices only short term.

Until London remains the capital of Europe and people continue to flow here creating the demand the prices will continue to go up long term

Is "silly bint" an acceptable thing to say, especially if it references priced out losers?

......that padington was caught trying to make love to the railings outside Wood Green tube station.

It's a caption competition right? What do I win?

Has wood green got a tube station?

Sure has. On the Picadilly Line.

It is generally played after Parsons Green in the Normal Variant of Mornington Crescent.
