Bought a laptop but not charged

Hi,
This is my first time posting. Basically I'm a student and saved to get this laptop for ages. When I got it, I had to keep getting replacements due to defects. For some reason in the process they refunded me and sent me a new laptop. I believe this was an error as nobody mentioned a refunded even when I asked for compensation for messing me around with broken laptops. Current they still haven't taken the money which was deposited in my account in the beginning of December. I was wondering what I should do as I have never been in this situation before, keep the money as they did mess me around for a couple of months with the defects or call them and offer it back? also if I did keep it, is there a certain time frame for them to take the money back as I don't want them going into my account in like 6 months to charge me.

    They can ask you to pay for goods you have ordered and had delivered for up to 6 years from the date of delivery.

    You know the money isn't yours to keep. Do the legally and morally right thing and call them up.

    Also be aware of the following if you do decide to keep it:
    Dishonestly retaining a wrongful credit.

    (1)A person is guilty of an offence if—

    (a)a wrongful credit has been made to an account kept by him or in respect of which he has any right or interest;

    (b)he knows or believes that the credit is wrongful; and

    (c)he dishonestly fails to take such steps as are reasonable in the circumstances to secure that the credit is cancelled.

    If Student Finance forgot to pay you your money each term, what would you do?

    Do you really need someone to tell you what to do, or are you just hoping someone will give you a loophole to keep the money and the laptop?
