Texts not being delivered

Hi, wonder if anybody can solve a mystery for me please?

Since 5th January I have sent half a dozen texts to a friend and another to somebody else, and I didn't get a reply to any of them and no notification that they couldn't be delivered.

I have just had a phone call from my friend to say she'd received all my texts this morning, one after the other and just as she called me to let me know she'd received two weeks worth of texts, so I got all the notifications, one after the other, of what my balance is.

I am very confused!

Speak to your mobile provider, they are the only ones who will know where the texts were in the missing period.

    Who is your supplier ?
I used to find the same thing - regularly with Vodafone - I changed to Three and no such problems have occurred since..
I used to joke that if I sent a text from Australia - I would overtake it on the flight home !!

    It's O2.

My daughter's just rung me (from Australia) to ask me what a text was all about that arrived today and I sent two weeks ago. I think I've received replies now to all the texts I sent about that time so looks like a one-off.

I did Google it and can't find current info relating to O2, historically it seems that it might be a problem with the sim. If it happens again I'll get a new one.
