Praise again for Amazon!

My DAB radio is 8 months old and has developed a fault.
Rang Amazon and as it is sold by them they will send a replacement to arrive tomorrow and a return label for the faulty radio has been Emailed to me.
Best Customer Service ever.

OK , item ordered 5/01/2015 , upon rechecking the feedback discovered that the product only had a 1 yr warranty not the 3 yr from western digital (hard drive) , also offered was the "extended 2 yr and 3 yr warranties for silly money (by amazon)
lots of comments that WD would not honour the drives at online registration as they were not UK stock , tried to cancel within 3 hrs , well before picking or dispatch , cancelation refused. goods arrive at a collect plus locker , advised not to collect , as they would return to stock after 3 working days .

now the 24th , item still not arrived back at Amazon , still no refund ,

"please wait another couple of days sir"

item bought locally with full Mfg warranty for about £6 more

If you have a pension then that makes you a hypocrite. They've paid the amount of tax required by UK law, just like you or I. If you don't like it, write to your MP or get rules on corporation tax changed.

Well done amazon, I've had nothing but excellent service too - shows that people are happy to pay a little bit more than other places knowing they won't be told to jog on after 7 days.

The person was trying to help you out and avoid paying return postage costs.

You could easily have collected it and paid for return postage - you would then have had more control over when it was returned.

It would have sat in the locker for days, it would then have been taken by a driver back to the depot and then arrangements would have been made to return it back to Amazon, then it would be a case of waiting for the return to be processed at the warehouse.

Do you really think Tesco and their like pay a penny more in tax than they need to? Why this anger about companies following the law?
