Morning all,
Night out last night was really enjoyable  but its really expensive to go out now  glad I don't do it that often !!
Miserable weather here its been raining and is really foggy so washing will be in the TD today, we need to hoover through the house and mop, the bathroom could do with a going over too, wont take long with the three of us helping.
Need to pop to the shop for a few bits as I did not do an online shop this week, might get a large ready made pizza for OH and my dinner, dd is off out so I am not sure she is eating here.
Gers Happy Christmas !! x
Dumpling well done :T

Hester, your BIL is a ............well I cannot say what I think here they would ban me!!
We were very late getting up, I have laundry on the line, will be fetching it in shortly, its greying over rather fast. Managed to do the Friday clean this morning, just have the kitchen floor to wash, will do it after supper tonight. I have another load of laundry to go in tonight, tomorrow is supposed to be fine as well.
Guess the bed linen will be getting dried in the house, rain is forecast for Monday.
Nothing much to report, I need to get in my sewing room and make up a couple of samples for the group meeting on Thursday.0 -
Glad things are settling for you HH.
Hope everyone else's Saturday is progressing nicely. Husband didn't have v. early alarm yesterday, today and tomorrow no alarm either. He's leaving 15 minutes earlier in the morning and it reduces his commute by 15mins. But leaving me tired the 6.29 alarm!
Have had a tedious morning, Passport office hadn't received the application I made. They rang back yesterday after a long time, but I had gone out. Today I tried again, got to print it out again, fill in a lost passport form and then go and get some more photos, have run out. Then another war with Vodafone. woman told me Thursday I would be able to get a better tariff, but the person I spoke to today wasn't having any of it! Then trying to get the Sure Signal box functioning properly. Has anyone else got one of those? So going through complicated processes of re-setting etc and of my phone as well.
Food looking OK for the weekend. Using stuff from the fridge for lunch, dinner will be chicken from the freezer baked with some spices and hm potato wedges. More meat out for tomorrow, didn't use the venison we got at Christmas, so making a venison pudding tomorrow. Nice easy food, quick to do and tasty, using up what we have. We have veg in the fridge/freezer for that as well.
Does anyone have a favourite recipe for Hollandaise sauce? Eggs Benedict promised for breakfast tomorrow.
Have a good afternoon and evening."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

(((HUGS))) I had a nightmare last night too; one of my recurring ones - the one where Mr LW decides out of the blue he doesn't want to be married to me any more and sends me packing and I have to go and live with the Ex.:(:(:(:(:( I know it couldn't happen IRL, but it's still very upsetting.ancientofdays wrote: »I have been up since 4 as I had nightmares, trying to go back to sleep just made the dream resume so I got up.
I was thinking of the exact same thing!:DDeleted_User wrote: »Hester, your BIL is a ............well I cannot say what I think here they would ban me!!
Oh, and I did laugh about the fish glaring at Hester because they want their brekkie!:rotfl:
Despite all the upset re PIP, I have some news re my ESA claim. Common sense has prevailed, and they have once more assigned me to the Support group.:T Goodness knows why they made me fill out yet another form - the only thing that's changed since last time is I'm older and considerably more decrepit!:D
Patsy and Pandora have arrived - my little princesses.:D I've got them for 16 days.:TIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Love the names Patsy & Pandora, I cat sit for 2 ragdolls called Tinkerbell & Periwinkle!

Evening
Slow start for me today as late night last night. Had good evening and time flew so was later than we planned. I have been busy since though, WM and DW both been on, washing on airer as it was misty this morning so didn't put it out. Cleaned out food cupboard too, had got a bit disorganised since Christmas. HM pizza for tea, and bit of blitz in kitchen while it was cooking DS helped, he had early finish today and is good and happy to help, just needs a bit of a nudge. I have meal planned for the week, I try and do things that DS.and I can eat together as he works shifts so sometimes I make something he can warm up when he gets in
TA. I have also bought the braising steak from Ald!, am going to cook in SC for tomorrow's dinner with lots of veg then make soup for Monday with LO.
Had a call from DD on her way home from work, they had another girl in with her today so she could show other girl how she deals with customers as her sales are better. She was pmeas d as its only pt job for extra money while she's at uni. Im now going to settle down and watch a bit of tv. Have a relaxing evening.Thoughts to all. Mrs D.

Lovely day today, made a large pot of carrot and coriander soup for next weeks lunches ,then eldest DD popped in this afternoon, instead of tomorrow morning and we had a nice relaxing natter and a large pot of coffee.
Then I nipped down to Sittingbourne around 5,30 and pickd up the fruit and veg needed to get me through until the end of the month and only spent £10.63 all told ,so well under budget this month .
Tomorrow ,apart from probably making a pineapple cake I have nothing to do but relax until I go to dinner around 6 at youngest DDs
So I am making the most of my weekend and doing a great deal of feet- upping
:). running aroud like a thing possessed during the week is more than enough for this old biddy
