Just finished switching after being with Barclays for 30 years to Santander 123.
All's gone really well ,however i have just had a thought my wages are paid on monday into my bank account.
Thing is i haven't notified my HR dept pr payroll.
Will my wages go into the new bank account, bit worried as the most important of things to check has slipped my mind.
Will my old bank forward this money onto the new account or do i need to notify my HR payroll on monday as its not reachable at weekends.

If you've used the standard Current Account Switching Service then yes, inbound payments to your old account will be redirected automatically to your new one.0

They should get forwarded to your new account OK.
Even if this month is successful, it would still be best to advise your payroll people anyway - saves forgetting and finding out the hard way when the post-switching automated arrangements cease.0 -
Phew panic over.
thanks for swift reply all,i did use the standard current account switching service.
thinking back the lady in Santander didn't really mention anything about wages which makes me think it would be covered.
Will get onto HR on monday though and square it all up.
Once again thanks to you both for swift reply can enjoy my weekend now0 -
For future reference, if you use the full switching service, banks monitor your old account for 36 months and notify any payees of your change of details.0
