Has anyone bought a sofa which is imported from Poland?

Hi all,
Bit of a weird question this.....
I am currently looking to purchase a corner sofa. I have looked online and around all the usual DFS, SCS etc but I keep coming back to a few I have seen on eBay which look like they are imported from Poland.
I have done some detective work and have now found several small businesses which seems to be importing the same 'style' of sofa's and essentially re-distributing them on the UK. I believe I may have even traced it back to one of the furniture stores in Poland these sellers are buying them from and can see they are putting about 20% mark-up on the price.
Although the prices are cheaper than you would expect to pay in a UK retailer, they are not ridiculously cheap which strangely reassures me (e.g £600-£800 for a sofa which would probably cost around £1200 for the equivalent in the UK). The cheaper prices are also not the major factor here, I just like the variation is styles which seem to be available from these importers.
I wondered if anyone had purchased a sofa from one of these sellers? What was thier experience and what was the quality of the sofa like?
My head is telling me never to buy a sofa without seeing it or trying it first, but I am considering the gamble.
Many thanks

a link would be good....Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day, and for once I'm inclined to believe Withnail is right. We are indeed drifting into the arena of the unwell.0

Looking the same isn’t the same as being the same ? Also sold in X doesn’t mean made in X or that there even legal in X just that you can use X as a base to sell out of and if there selling same in the uk the mark up would be much higher no business sense in 20% you’d go bust
Safety issues etc aside If its not comfy is that worth a few hundred saving you’ll be sitting on it years? Plenty of sales about ebay etc that you can make the same savings but try before you buy that importing something really doesn’t make sense0 -
Have you not got any local furniture stores that arnt DFS/SCS/Crap etc?0

I don't think I would ever buy a sofa that I hadn't seen or tried first tbh.0
