Aqualux Shower Screen Seals - AAARRRGGH

Previous owner installed an Aqualux Nile 4 fold shower screen (still sold by B&Q) in our guest bathroom in about 2003/4. A few years ago I had to replace a few of the bottom hinge type fittings, and found spares readily available on the aqualux website.

The seals between the folding panels now need replacing, so I head to the Aqualux website - yes they are available, in packs of 2, 1 white (which is what I need) and 1 silver (for the other available screen colour). At £13 per pack (no doubt plus P&P) that's £39 and 3 useless seals to replace the 3 white ones I need.

Phoned then emailed Aqualux, was told on the phone they used to sell them singly, might do again at some unknown time in the future, but only twin packs available.

Emailed again :
Common sense says that a customer is unlikely to have both a white and a silver screen, so any customer wishing to replace seals would be looking for a single colour. Is it beyond the bounds of possibility to open and repack the twin colour packs into single colour packs of 2 or 4 seals for the vertical seals and single seals for the bottom seal??

Their reply :
Unfortuntly we can (presumably he meant to type cannot!) take out spare seals out of a pack and add to another pack, so you will have to purchase the full seal pack.

Looking online, Very currently have the Aqualux 4 fold screen for £50. Replacing 3 vertical seals and the bottom seal (£12) would be £51 +P&P.

Not impressed with Aqualux after sales service!

Amazes me how some companies manage to keep going with bizarre policies like that.

Is there a market for silver seals on ebay!?

Have you looked at aftermarket generic ones at all?

I've Googled like mad for 10mm x 5mm white rubber channel seals with absolutely no success. Don't fance trying my luck spending a lot then trying to Ebay 3 or 4 grey seals!
