Transfering Money

Hello everyone,

I am sorry if this has already been posted but I could not find it and I am new to this website.
My girlfriend and I have recently moved to England after a year long stay in Norway. We have saved 10,000 pounds in our Norwegian Bank and we are hoping to transfer this to our English bank. I was wondering what is the cheapest or most efficient way to transfer the money without losing out on the exchange rates.

There are many methods for money transfer to/from abroad; I have used Transferwise, but they may not offer the best rates, so google for alternatives. I've no doubt those with greater knowledge and therefore more suggestions will post soon.
(word of advice - just incase that's your real name, do change your id to something less readily identifiable)
