Hi,I'm completely new to this site and never really posted in a forum before so bear with me.
In October I decided to get my 13 yr old daughter a refurbished iphone 5c for xmas off a refurbished site on Ebay.I've always bought second hand iphones for her as i'm a single parent but this is the first time I've bought refurbished.I got it early so I didn't have to rush around at the last minute.
Anyway, the phone arrived and i checked it came on,etc then put it away in the box safely and securely.
Xmas day comes and she's estactic with her pressy for all of about 30 mins, she was soon moaning it was 'glitchy'-it seemed to have a mind of its own, going into apps on its own for instance and its turned itself off a few times.
So after many messages between me and the company,I eventually sent it off to be 'fixed'last Monday 11th jan after trying to reset it numerous times(they asked me to try resetting it) I paid the postage.
Yesterday it came back while she was at school and lo and behold it doen't work .Infact it's worse, as I cannot even set the phone up over my wifi as my wifi code has the number 7 in it and the keyboard won't let me press it.Number 6 or 8 yes but no 7!
I messaged them to say i wanted a replacement or refund. Then after reading terrible feedback for this company for the phones they've sold over xmas,I decided to message again to say I would like a refund as I can't afford to keep sending it back and forth.
They've messaged me a couple hours ago to tell me i'm not entitled to a refund as the refund period they offer is just for the first 14 days after you purchase. So now what?My daughter cried when she saw it was broke again,as all her mates had theres for xmas.
I can't afford to buy her a replacement.Does anyone know my rights please?I've never had a problem before with anything off Ebay til now and i have no idea what to do next as i've spoke to Ebay customer services who've told me to resolve with the seller.Sorry for the long post.I'm having a bit of a rant. today.

As you've already tried to sort it out with the seller, then you will need to raise a dispute. If you paid by Paypal then you might still have time to open a dispute (I think it's 180 days).0 -
A proper refurb should have a much longer warranty than 14 days. What did the item description say in this respect? Did you check?
Methinks you have simply bought a cosmetically repaired bodge up.No free lunch, and no free laptop
