Slightly off topic. However anyone with an Xbox one and the newer controllers can listen to TV plugging standard headphones into the controller.
You need the stereo adapter for non 3mm jack controllers.
An option for the OP if they happened to have one.
  • Bought some Sennheiser RS120, sending them back. The sound comes out of the side holes of each earphone, totally defeating the object out using them late at night for "no noise" purposes. Very slippy on the head too.

Will keep with Panasonic for my next purchase and stick with existing ones till they fully konk out.

    Thanks for comments

You need a closed back set (open headphones will give better sound but obviously the sound leaks, whereas the closed headphones will give you better sound isolation, and no sound leak), something like the Sennheiser RS160's from Argos that grumbler linked to in his post, or these Sony's on Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-MDRRF865RK-Wireless-Over-Ear-Headphones-black/dp/B004MPQ81Y/

Or how about another Panasonic set to replace your current ones:
