Just been online & it says I can send the form via post office however I've just been in & told I need an envelope and a stamp?! If so then why does it say Post Office as opposed to sending it via a letterbox?! Can anyone clarify this?

What it actually says on that page is...If your vehicle needs taxing in the next 4 weeks
At the Post Office
Take your V5C to the Post Office - you can tax your vehicle and change your details at the same time.
So, yes, you can leave the V5C with them over the counter - if you're taxing the car at the same time, and the tax is due in the next four weeks. It doesn't say anything about any other situation.0 -
Can't you do it on a web page for nothing? I transferred my last car to a new keeper that way.
Saved the price of a stamp, a trip to a post box, and I got to keep the V5 with his details filled in.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)
