OVO energy

Options
Hi. I'm currently with OVO energy prepayment, I'm having lots of issues with topping up and being told things that are contradicting themselves, and its costing a fortune. I really would like to change to a credit meter with someone else but am struggling to find anyone without a charge. I'm not in debt with them so I thought changing would be easy?!! Can anyone help. Thank you

The cost of around £60 per meter is already heavily subsidised. Most suppliers will credit check you when you apply for a credit meter. Otherwise it's a matter of ringing around and trying to get a meter swap in return for your business. However if you then pay more for a more expensive tariff than you might have got from another supplier who wants to charge you, you will save nothing. So find the best tariff and then negotiate.
