printer offline

Hi I got a new printer Samsung wifi, which was working when I tested it a couple of times. bit now I need to use it, I get a box saying your printer is in error state, so when I look it says off line? so I went into see whats printing, but the box that says use printer off line is greyed out ? I tried tuning on and off both computer and printer ? can any help thank you

When I get an issue like that, turning off and on the printer usually fixes it.

If you go to the control panel on the printer and check the wifi settings, does it show as connected? (i.e. does it have an IP address?)

You could also try uninstalling then reinstalling the printer on your PC.

My Samsung laser takes itself offline if it's not been used for a while but generally goes back online when a print job is sent to it.

Like others have said, mine goes offline when it hasn't been used for a little bit. Usually I have to just go and press any button on the printer and it "wakes up", connecting back onto the network

If you go to control panel and click on Printers, do you see your printer there and does it have a tick, i.e. have you selected it as the default printer?

It might have a different IP address from when you set it up.

Try adding a new printer and see if the computer finds it at a different address.
