Good Morning everyone and what a chilly morning it is ,even though the sun is trying to break through.
LW how dreadful for you my dear,I would definitely see my Doctor and tell him how the woman behaved and how its made you feel, both pain wise physically and mentally. Its dreadful that people are put through these sort of hoops in this day and age ,it borders on downright cruelty to folk who already have enough pain to live with, grr I am so cross for you.She obviously lacks any sort of empathy.
Today I am pottering around againI have a small shopping list ,but as yet nothing is essential on it so it can wait until Saturday I think.
I'll probably do the small bit of ironing that's needed and get it out of the way before the pile gets any bigger
Then after doing the dog run with Dds dogs will settle down with my library book for an hour Its the last Charlie Resnick book by John Harvey and I started it last night and I do enjoy his writing.
Hope everyone has a good day and keeps warm and dry if possible
Cheers chums JackieO xx0 -
NMLC you will probably soon get letters to advise you are "at risk", with consultation dates etc. It can be a quick process if they ask for voluntary redundancies or if people are offered pay in lieu.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Good Morning everyone, a much nicer and warmer day here today, blue sky and sun at the moment but rain coming in later in the day. Ironing done, house clean, beds made and bedrooms tidied found He Who Knows some T20 cricket to watch on the TV and just deciding what to do for lunch. I've got chippolatas out for supper to have with a jacket potato, carrots, broccoli and peas and also some gravy.
Hope you are less uncomfortable today LAMEWOLF but I think it would be sensible to at least flag this up to your GP as you are in enough discomfort just on a day to day basis with your lupus without idiotic commands to over stretch and hurt yourself to prove a government point, it's a disgraceful state of affairs my dear and needs a stand taking over this type of intrusion and interference when you can do nothing to change your health problems, not on!!! Docky says GRRRRRR! on your behalf.
Have yourselves a good day everyone, I hope you all get at least a glimpse of sunshine todat, Lyn xxx.0 -
LW, sorry your interview was so awful, why are people like that, it can't make them happy!
I have booked an appointment with my GP - March 4th!!!! But appointments with Dr F are as rare as hens' teeth, so I was lucky to get in with her at all. Mr LW will be taking yet another day's Annual Leave to take me.
I have to attend the CAMRA meeting tonight; I really, really don't want to go, but it's the AGM so Mr LW says I ought to put in an appearance. We're picking up his pal on the way, so Mr LW has put my wheelchair in the car boot and put the back seat into useable position (normally the back seat is tilted up and the wheelchair lives behind the front seats).
We have the 2nd half of yesterday's veggie Shepherd Spy for dins, so that'll be quick to do.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon ((((((((((hugs))))))))))if you need one, especially LW,what a horrid experience for you, make sure your Dr knows just how badly you were treated. I an sure some of the examiners are trained by the secret service!!
Up early and ready to go out by eight forty. Got the group table set up with help from some of the ladies. Quite a lot of people looking, had to point out that the whole group were beginners this time last year.
It's bitterly cold, just contemplating putting a match to the fire. OH as gone for his siesta, I may well wrap myself in a fleece and have a nana nap.0 -
Just to say that Im sorry Lame Wolf had a bad experience at her appointment. I recently had one too and was sobbing the minute I entered the waiting room. However, the examiner was reassuring and even made me a cup of tea (from staff resources) and put his hand on mind to calm me down. He even let me lie on the couch as my head was hurting so much. I know I was lucky and the result was positive so there is hope for you too as i was sure I'd mucked it up!
Hugs xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

LW
In view of the pain you were left in - are there no emergency appointments?
How about contacting your MP?
It would have been DH's birthday today so older dd came over to keep me company and we went to lunch in Leeds (40% discount) and raised a glass of prossecco to him (he called it prosseccio!)) We popped in tkmaximus and she found a nice dress for the office.
When we got home I hand sewed a polka dotted material over the logo on her cool box for her. I also got an e mail that a sale was starting on Ju*tlastsea*on so looked at the site with her as she has a posh business function coming up. We ended up ordering three at half price or less to be delivered to me so she can try them on and I will return any that are not suitable.
Ended up using a tin of sardines and having it on toast for tonight
which helps clear the cupboards. Trying to clear up as much as I can before I have to move house without getting rid of things I would still want to use.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"
