Ad-Aware 2007 shuts down my pc??

I've just installed ad-aware 2007 and everytime i run it it goes about 3 minutes if that into a scan then shuts down the pc and it reboots.

anyone have any ideas? should i just uninstall and try again? i downloaded it from the link in the malware thread.

Does it do the same thing if you boot up into safe mode?
