Dealing with cat hairs on clothes

I have two lovely black and white cats and naturally their fur gets everywhere. How do you keep it from getting on your clothes? I have a lint roller but one use and its full. I have now started changing into pyjamas as soon as I get home which does keep my clothes decent but there are times when I don't want to do this, like when I have visitors for example and I want to stay dressed.

I use the sort of roller with tear off sheets so that you can start a new one when one's full - like this. (Haven't checked for price, this is just the first one I saw.)

Thanks, this is the type I use but I'm always tearing off sheets as they get full. I have a rinseable one for the flat which is ok but I prefer the tear off one for clothes.0

I use one of these on my cat http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/cat_health/cat_furminator/291301
She hated it at first but now she tolerates it and it does bring off a surprising amount of fur!0 -
We have a white cat that likes to rub against everything. There's nothing like hanging your long coat on the end of the bannisters, heading off to work in a rush and then discovering that the bottom of your coat is white and hairy! We use Ikea lint rollers as they are cheap and effective. They have tear off sheets. We keep a few dotted around the house and one in the car.

The cat doesn't seem to mind if we use the roller on her too!Norn Iron Club Member 3300 -
Regular brushing will reduce the hairs that shed on clothes, furniture etc.
Are they long-haired cats?
Lint rollers are the only solution really. I also use the tear-off type and bulk-buy them from eBay/Amazon. :rotfl:0 -

I've just resigned myself to a general layer of cat hair - I like to think of it as winter insulation0

Ditto! lint rollers - there's a jelly style everlasting roller that you rinse too. Regular brushing and if all else fails - shave the moggies. lol. Just joking!!Back in the red :mad:

Lint rollers it is then, I'll have to stock up on refills. My cats are short haired but they still shed lots of fur.
I use the rinse roller on the furniture and curtains but not keen on those for clothes.0
