Evening All
I am sure this has been asked many, many times before; but could someone tell me how to get my dear ex removed from my credit file. I would not like him to be impacted on financially. I recently checked my file on Noddle and noticed he was still linked with me. Poor chap.
Additionally I have been paying £10 per month to a debt for about 10 years now. I know, I know. However it doesn't show up on my credit file! Why would that be?
Thanks in advance for the good advice and no doubt electronic bashing I will receive

1. File a notice of disassociation with each CRA.
2. The lender may not report to one or more of the CRAs.0 -
It is one of the many egregious failings of credit reporting that once a financial association has been declared it is never cancelled unless you go to the trouble of doing something about it yourself. And given that the majority of people in this country live in blissful ignorance of the existence of credit reporting agencies there must be millions of dishonest associations causing problems.
So maybe at age 20 you shared a flat with someone for six months and the disreputable water company sets up an association with your flatmate (actually they are not allowed to do so, but non-existent QA at the CRAs allows this to happen). You are now 80 years old and a great-grandfather, having been married for over 50 years - not to your former flatmate - and as I read it you'll still have the financial association from 60 years ago. Am I reading this correctly?0 -
ZX81 could you please expand your information for me. Sorry to be a pain.
