Unhelpful credit reference agencies

So having recently discovered that my passport and some other I.D documents were missing I today tried to call the credit reference agencies to discuss my options. Well what a farce that turned out to be, finding a phone number was dam near impossible and when I did manage to get to speak to someone they were only interested in trying to sell me a membership.

I must say however CallCredit very helpful and they will be adding a Notice of Correction Password to my file, Experian and Equifax were shocking beyond belief considering I am at risk of I.D and financial fraud.

One plus note is I have registered with CIFAS and this should hopefully safeguard me.

Is there anything else I should do to protect me against fraud.

I already have noddle and clearscore accounts so at least I can check my file once a month.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Simon
