Should I switch now?
Options
Hi, I am currently with Sainsburys Energy on the Price Freeze February 2016 tariff. This is due to end on the 29th Feb.
I did a quick search today and Gas prices have really come down and E.ON recently announced they are reducing Gas prices by 5%
My question is, shall I hold off a bit longer before I make a switch to E.ON or shall I wait and see what the other big players will offer?
Thanks!

You can switch now without penalty but why choose E.oN when there are better deals out there with NO exit fees? Look at GBEnergy Premium Saver for electricity and ZOGEnergy Saturn 12 for gas. You could switch today and then initiate a further switch in 14 days time if a better deal appears on the horizon. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I am on the same deal as you. I phoned them yesterday and asked how many kwh hours in gas and electric I am likely to have used by next month (having given them up-to-date readings) and got all the prices/figures. After a bit of probing I was told that there are thousands of us on this deal which is due to come to an end and this guy said he couldn't imagine Sainsbury Energy would want to let us all go, hence his prediction that they would launch a new rate early next month. I am weighing up whether to switch to SSE now (saving approx £30 a month) or wait a week or so and see what else appears.0
