Hi i changed my name last year by deed poll but when i ask for a copy of my credit report my names are not linked i eiiher get my old name with credit history or my new name with limited credit history. my question is how do i get them to come together. i have informed everyone about name change so thought i would be linked by aliases but is not the case.

Hi Dlites,
As you have changed your name with the companies that you hold accounts with, I would have expected the companies to record an alias entry on your report.
This would link the information under both names together, so that anyone searching the report would see what was recorded under both names.
We can get an alias added to your Experian report for you, we have a form that you can download and send to us here

You may also want to contact the other credit reference agencies to make sure that they have also updated their information.
