can anyone point me in the right direction either in here or to a link that's tells me how to set up a blog,,, but not ones where the sites give you no rights on what they advertise on your blog,,,So I understand id have to pay ..just hoping not a lot ,,,unless of course there is such thing as a free blogging site that doesn't hound you with spam and adverts and that is safe ...

I can host 10 sites on my package (not with 123Reg), with unlimited bandwidth for £33 per year. Also has email & one click installation for CMS, blogs, shopping carts etc (uses Fantastico) alongside a plethora of other tools.

Domain is about £6.50 every two years for .co.uk.

areia, do some shopping around for hosting. Or search this forum for the many, many threads on free hosting. There are lots of options if you just want to dip your toe in the water. Might be worth trying it on Google sites first? No cost = no risk.
