Decking and Concrete Base

Hello,

I have been quoted the following for our garden refurbishment and I have had such a range of quotes, I was unsure if this might be too cheap?

Decking 20ft x 10ft x 1ft (off the ground)

and

Concrete base 18ft x 12ft x 0.5ft (thickness) with wire mesh

Total = £1800

Any information would be much appreciated.

I don't have any experience in decking but you could easily work out the cost of materials and then the rest is labour. Ask then how many people they'll use and how many days it'll take to complete.

A few websites will automatically work out the decking materials needed given a certain size.

Depends what you mean by fair? If the tradesman does not want the job he/she will probably bid high.
