Mira Shower 'Kettling'

Hi, I'm after some advice about my shower please. I have a new build house which was fitted with a Mira shower. I've only lived in the house for a year and a half and up until October last year the shower has been working absolutely fine. Then it started making a strange ticking sound, which gets louder and faster. When you put your hand to the shower unit you can feel it vibrate as it's ticking. I'm still covered with Lovell for problems in the house, so they sent a plumber to check the water pressure which is supposedly fine. Then Mira came out three times to look at the shower and their answer was that the shower was 'kettling' and that's apparently normal and it could just stop making the noise one day. He said it was to do with the cold weather and the shower having to work harder in winter to heat up the water. Though I had no problems last winter. I'm not happy with that result as the kettling is constant. Luckily the shower is working ok and the water is hot enough. I only have 6 months until my Lovell cover ends so I want to get this fixed before I have to pay for it, as a shower that young should be working perfectly. Any advice would be really appreciated. We have the same affect with our Mira electric shower when the incoming water gets very cold in winter the temperature control thermostat appears to tick on/off frequently, we also had it with our previous Triton electric shower, the higher you set the temperature the more it happens, we find as the Mira technician says it will go away as the weather and incoming water temperature warms up and you turn the control to a lower setting.
