Are we supposed to be happy that a 5% drop in the gas price is ok compared with wholesale prices?

I agree the prices rocketed up when wholesale prices went up and now they have plumetted the suppliers arguments do ring a little hollow. I have some sympathy with the fact that other costs are going up, but then they should never have took the postion that wholesale prices were rising and they were pretty helpless in the face of that.
