Moving to Club Lloyds - Direct Debits

Options
Hi

I'm looking to upgrade my 'Classic' Lloyds current account to Club Lloyds however I don't currently meet the minimum criteria in terms of at having at least 2 Direct Debits per month.

My wife and I both bank with Lloyds, both have current accounts and a joint Platinum account that we want to keep. All direct debits currently come out of the joint account.

Is there an easy way to move 2 of these to my current account i.e. Three Mobile and water rates for example?

I will be paying in the minimum of £1500 per month to avoid the monthly fee.

Cheers

Call the company and tell them the new account details, and cancel the direct debits from the old account.

Also, it's optional to have direct debits on the Club Lloyds account, as the direct debits are just to qualify for interest.

You can change the bank details for Three online.

  • Do you pay your water rates over 10 or 12 months?
Mine are done over 10 so you may have to find another for 2 months.

I think you can upgrade the Platinum account to a Club Lloyds Platinum account. Therefore, you can meet the direct debit requirements for credit interest. Check the upgrade section on online banking.

Better than upgradjng your Classic Account to the Club Lloyds, and transferring the direct debits to the new one, or phoning the companies withe the details.
