No way could he match her £5 with £15 each time. She gets her allowance reliably but often needs it early as she's spent out and hasn't enough for social bus fares etc. I.e. getting home from a day out cause she spent the return fare home on shopping and then needs a lift or can't get back. She's quite young for her age and forward planning seems to be a skill that needs a bit of work and support!! LOL.0

I wouldn't be giving her an allowance now she has EMA.
£30 a week should be more than enough. I gave my daughter the Child Benefit which was about £20 a week and no other top-ups at any time and she used it to buy what she wanted. I provided her "needs" from my wages/salary. If the £20 ran out then it ran out there would be no advances on future money. Employer's don't pay wages in advance so that what I told her.
I didn't expect her to be able to save much of it as most of it was budgeted for. There wasn't much left over.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
