HI everyone
I have received a letter from Stonebridge informing me that I may be entitled to a refund of premium. It goes on to say regarding the matter 'any concerns about the product you hold or the level of service you received'.
They go on to say 'that following an investigation by the UK Regulator the Financial Conduct Authority and an internal review of our procedures, we believe our service to you could have been better, particularly in relation to our sales process....It is therefore possible that you may be entitled to a full or partial refund of premium, claim or other payment'.
Has anybody else received this letter, which includes a questionnaire to fill and return.
My concern is that the questionnaire is 'weighted' in the favour of Stonebridge and should I be better sending them a letter stating that the way I was sold the Accident Death Policy was not fully explained to me etc..
thx

Yes they have.My concern is that the questionnaire is 'weighted' in the favour of Stonebridge and should I be better sending them a letter stating that the way I was sold the Accident Death Policy was not fully explained to me etc..
The whole thing is consumer weighted as these reviews usually lead to redress being paid on genuine sales as well as those that didnt meet standards.
The questionnaire will focus on the areas of potential failures and woudl have been agreed by the FCA.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

You received your CCL letter more than a year ago (at the start of this thread), so why haven't you progressed your complaint before now?0
