Damp in bedroom

We have a spare small bedroom, that is suffering from damp - the (outside) walls are wet to the touch and there are damp patches on the ceiling
The problem is not helped by the fact that the vent is blocked up - but when open - the cold air comes straight through
We have used a dehumidifier to try to dry it out a bit....
What is the long-term solution ?

Stopping the outside walls from getting wet, stopping the ceiling from getting wet, opening the vent and heating the room to at least 18 degrees 24 hours a day.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)

Yes - but to heat just that room to 18 degrees would be difficult - do we shut the bedroom door and open the vent ?
Open the door and the vent. More ventilation is key to removing the damp. You need to heat the room. If you don't heat the room it will always be damp. Heating the room decreases the relative humidity of the air and damp problems are minimized.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)

Surely you should work out where the 'damp' is coming from first?
Is it condensation from elsewhere in the property, or is there a leak into the room?
What sort of walls are they, single-skin or cavity?0 -
Old house/new house; double glazed or not; north facing?0

Are the roof or guttering leaking? Seems a little too localised and too bad to be condensation.0

No not as far as I can see0
