i was reading the business and media section of the observer the other day and it said that if you have a bt line that needs activating, rather than paying their £125 fee for them flicking a switch, virgin can do it for £25
not sure if this is just for virgin/ntl lines or all lines
anyone come across this

I think thats Virgin's price for activating a dormant cable tv/telephone line - nothing to do with a BT line.

But you cant convert a BT line into a Virgin Media Cable Line, and Virgin Media non cable do not offer line rental.
£25 is Virgin Media,s connection charge for any of their products including a cable phone line/broadband/tv etc.0
