Contravention 27 parking fine LONDON

Hi all, got a fine for parking on a dropped curb last week, although it is barely a dropped curb in my view! Any advice? The curb itself drops from 7cm (it is originally a very low curb anyway) then to 4.8cm for a long block (where I was parked half way into it), then remains at 3-3.5cm above the carriageway for the entire 'dropped curb'. i.e. it is NOT level with the carriageway. There is no clear descent to the carriageway. It is also very unclear where the 'dropped curb' actually starts. Any advice much appreciated! I would upload pics but not sure how...
If anyone has a letter template that has won an appeal, I would be most grateful to take a look. Never written a legal style letter of appeal before.

'kerb' :-) and Welcome to mse.
Only if this ticket was issued by a Council or Police is the term 'fine'correct.
If this is the case, you'll do better on pepipoo. You'll need to upload both sides of any p/w there.
Here are similar tickets they've advised on, but read everything up to date:

When you post on pepipoo, show pics of BOTH SIDES of the PCN or they can't help. Please DO NOT post without those pics.
Before you do, Google 'dropped kerb code 27 pepipoo' to read shedloads of other threads exactly like yours and get the gist of what to say. But don't read anything older than 2015.

Necessary if entering the term on pepipoo, Quentin, apart from which it's better to spell words correctly, especially in formal letters or communications, than mis-spell them.
Don't let that stop you posting selectively.

Spelling mistakes are irrelevant to this forum which isn't anything to do with an English exam.
Location is quite important though - And "curb" is an Americanism, plus there are also several Londons in the US.
We have had people posting US-oriented stuff as/for advice in Motoring before, although admittedly not as often as it happens in other forums.0 -
I also corrected someone for putting the verb or Americanism 'curb' instead of the English noun 'kerb' yesterday. If they are going to do a decent Council appeal, although spellings won't win or lose it, the appeal does need to look professional and assertive from someone who means business.
Also when we are sending people to pepipoo to post, we may as well ensure they head up that thread properly. Also if he is to search for 'dropped kerb' pepipoo cases, as recommended, he needs to know how to spell the word or he won't find all the recent useful results!PRIVATE 'PCN'?
