Alternative to Karndean

Long shot but went to a mortgage appointment last night, they have recently refurbished their offices and had really lovely flooring, the only thing the lady could tell me was that it was a cheaper alternative to Karndean. I thought Karndean was like posh vinyl but this stuff was wood effect but she said it came in planks. Any ideas? It looked perfect for our kitchen.
Thanks

There are loads of companies doing luxury vinyl planks. Karndean, Amtico, LG, Adore, Cavalio, etc etc. Have a look on Floorbay and get some free samples.0

I was told in a flooring shop that you need a perfectly level floor for Amtico and Karndean, which has put me off them a bit. For Amtico, including floor prep and installation they said allow about £90m square!! We have some cheap vinyl which came on a roll from Allied Carpets that has been really stable. With Karndean the top layer is so thin I'm sur if you dropped a knife on it you'd go through to the white bit underneath.....0

Amtico do 2 ranges. £90 sounds right for their top line, but the cheaper stuff would be about half that.0

Not sure where that price came from. Our Amtico floor was about £50 per sq m all in. That included leveling the floor too0
