What happens if my car is a write off?

I'm starting to get paranoid now :eek:
people keep saying things that are making me worried.
If my insyurance company have said tey crash was not my fault, what if the other bloke contests it? and it goes in his favour
i mean it shouldnt as i have damage to the side of my car and the front light is broken.
Agghh, this is so nerve wracking, and painfull

Yes I know, it's not very nice.
Somebody bumped my wife some years back and it clearly wasn't her fault (I was there). But their insurance company didn't want to pay out more than they had to so they first pushed for 70/30 in THEIR favour. Oh we laughed!
To cut a very long and nasty story short we was advised in the end (after many months) by our solicitor to accept 50/50 rather than going to court because it could go against us that they were willing to settle at 50/50 and we was not.
Not at all happy but at the end of the day we was fully comp with legal protection so didn't cost us a great deal just not very nice overall and very stressing for my wife.
PS: we did not have anybody present or anybody who saw the accident so it was our word against theirs.

Well i have just been advised by my insurance company that it is a write off on account that it would cost too much to repair.
So now i just got to wait and see what happens.
The bloke had better not contest it, although the insurance co said they doubt they would
