Incorrect data on credit file

Hi all
I am looking for help and guidance with regard Lloyds recording incorrect info on my credit file.
Basically I had to take out an IVA in 2009, this has been completed satisfactorily and removed from the insolvency register. Now, here the problem starts, a Lloyds credit card was part of that and they are still recording this on my file, I log a dispute with all 3 credit agencies and it is hidden while they contact Lloyds. It looks like they don't respond so it returns! I have contacted Lloyds by phone and sent the IVA completion documents and the say it has been updated but within a month is back on there!?
I have just sent an email to the CEO but was wondering if anyone else had suffered this at the hands of Lloyds and if there are any tips?! I'm so frustrated and stressed by this now it's really getting to me!!!
Thanks for any advice

Hi there, welcome to MSE.
That does seem frustrating - especially if you can get the data removed for a short period of time. I would suggest a written formal complaint to Lloyds, with a copy of your IVA certification/ letter of completion. Ask them to remove the incorrect data once and for all. Explain that this has happened previously but the data reappears. If they fail to deal with things to your satisfaction then escalate the matter to the Financial Ombudsman and the Information Commissioner (who regulates the credit files). Good Luck.

I'm in a similar position, I had a sofa on credit with creation finance, which was in default in 2010 and they obtained a ccj against me, this account however is still showing as a late payment and not in default, the ccj no longer shows on my credit file as it has been over 6 years, are they allowed to still be showing this as a late payment or should it be showing as default? In which case as it's over 6 years from date of default it should no longer be on my credit file, I'm working hard to repair my credit file and this is frustrating me. Thanks in advance for any help ;-)0
