You've got me wondering now! Just checked our letter and the extra I'm referring to is down as disability income guarantee is that the same thing? From checking the website we are getting the correct amount and it was automatic from what I can remember.no longer miserable in debt.... :T but dont know how to change my id!!:beer:0 -

no. thats the enhanced disability premium, that is [paid to those in the support group or on higher rates of DLA/PIP care.
what are you circumstances.
do you receive income related ESA?
does any other adult live with you and your OH?

No other adults live with us, and I dont claim anything other than carers allowance for my daughter who is autistic and is 17 and on DLA. I know im included in his ESA though.no longer miserable in debt.... :T but dont know how to change my id!!:beer:0 -
the severe disability premium is only paid in specific circumstances.
along with claiming the relevant benefit the claimanr/s must either
live alone with no one claiming carers allowance
live as a couple with BOTH receiving the relevant disability benefit with no other adult living in the home.
you would be ruled out because you are not disabled and receiving the relevant disability benefit.
your husband would be ruled out because he doesn't live alone or with another qualifying adult0
