Decongestants unable to buy without paracetamol

In the past, I used to take cheap paracetamol with a cheap decongestant. Cost was 80-90p.

Now I have run out of decongestant tablets with my current cold.

Went to four different shops. None of them have the just decongestant tablets. All contain paracetamol. Well, one shop had them, but not paying £3 for 16.

Having decongestant and paracetamol combined makes the cost expensive. Cheapest was £1.50.

Does anyone know why buying decongestant alone tablets is now near impossible? I didn't try to ask them over the counter as the queue was long.

Because they contain paracetamol, you are restricted to 2 packs of 16. Plus what about those who are allergic to paracetamol? A late school friend had this allergy. Died of cancer 15 months ago

Has anyone noticed this
