Thanks Beanie - hope you are ok.
I’ve just had a message from a friend telling me about our mutual friend who passed away this morning. It’s so sad. We can’t even give her the send off she deserves.Think I’ll crack open the wine and chocolates I got from work today....we need to make the most of every minute.January spends - £587.583 -
Sorry to hear this sad news, life’s too short, enjoy every moment 💕I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Beanie I got the tablecloth in Dunelm - just over £5 for 1.5 metres. There were some quite expensive rolls but this will do the job for what I want. It’s a rusty red and light brown plaid pattern with a tiny heart where the plaid cross. Quite pretty.January spends - £587.582

I’ve been messaging various friends this morning to pass the sad news on and also messaged my friend who lost her sister - we used to all work together.....I didn’t expect a reply but she got back to me almost immediately - so sad as you rarely saw one of them without the other.
I’m planning a lazy day today. My arm is aching after doing display boards at work yesterday - talk about demic. I’ll need to pop out for some potatoes later and will do a couple of washes....but that’s about all I plan.Currently watching corny film about a hurricane in Florida and enormous crocodiles 😱don’t think it’s meant to be a comedy....but it’s certainly laughable 🤪😂
I was pleasantly surprised to see a maintain when I stepped on the scales this morning.... not sure how that happened as I have eaten all sorts of carp snacks. My meals have been ok but everything else 😲😲😲 I’m hoping to be a bit more disciplined now I’m off work....the sweet treats that go around work during the last couple of weeks are ridiculous- but I’m the one who popped them in my mouth- no one to blame but myself!!
I’m having my hair cut on Monday - it’s funny how it’s grown after my drastic home cut with the buzzer. The back and sides seem to have grown much more quickly than the top and fringe 🤔🤔 Hopefully she will be able to do something with it.I’m running hot and cold about booking a swimming session......I keep telling myself it’s probably quite safe because of the chlorine and everyone showers before and after.....then I wobble and change my mind. I need to go really as I know it’s the best exercise for my arm and hip.....decisions. I’m pleased to be safe and well and know restrictions make sense and will follow the guidelines but I’m mightily cheesed off. Could be much, much worse though. If not being able to the things I used to as easily as I want is my biggest worry then life must be good.January spends - £587.582 -
Been to relatives again doing a bit of gardening- need to spend some time in my own garden now. I made a big lasagne to take with us and some of Jamie Oliver’s flapjack. I think I put too many nuts in (the recipe was open to Interpretation) and I blitzed it too long as it tasted lovely but was a tad dry and more cakey than flapjacky.
We watched a film before we came home - a new Disney meant to rival Harry Potter.....don’t think Harry has anything to worry about!!
Having my hair cut tomorrow - needs bringing back into shape. Then I plan to start a blitz of the house - 1 st day I’ve been in without dh for a while so no distractions. Want to clean windows, wash ornaments and treat suite with leather cleaner. I’ll do a room at a time - one time I’d do the full house on the 1st day of the holidays I’ll be happy to get the living/dining room sorted. Followed by the kitchen including cupboards and freezer then upstairs. If I can do that before Thursday when dh is off again I’ll be a happy Milann.....it’ll also be a miracle 😂😂😂😂

I try to loosely follow the Fly Lady thread on Old Style Money Saving. Don’t always get it all done but great as a prompt.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Living and dining room windows cleaned and hair has been cut and sorted 👍 Just having a 10 minute rest then I’ll polish my brass ornaments (only a couple left now from my mums house) before doing the suite....busy,busy, busy 🤪🤪January spends - £587.582

Well that was interesting. At the back of my chair I found a lottery ticket I thought I’d thrown in the bin by mistake......it was December 2019.....I had the house upside down looking for it at the time 😏 I don’t know how long tickets are valid so I didn’t know whether I wanted to check it or not 😲😂😂😲......it’d have been just my luck to get 6 numbers and for it to be invalid.
I needed have worried though as true to form I didn’t get any numbers 😂😂😂😂
I also found lots of dust, several Cheerios and a photo of a child I know who is now an old teenager- must have been down there since 2006 when we got the suite 😳😳January spends - £587.583
