I have looked all over the forum and cannot seem to find any specific board dealing with shares . Please excuse if this is posted in an inappropriate place.
I am seeking advice on behalf of my elderly Father who wishes to sell his shares all of which were purchased 15+ years ago
I have read all the guides and none of them really help as he is not looking to trade just sell his paper shares .
Can anyone please suggest a simple way to achieve this please

You could use someone like X-O.co.uk share dealing services (£5.95 per trade) for a cheap method of selling the shares.
Open a Share Dealing account with X-O.co.uk (free to open and no annual account charges) then transfer your share certificates in to your account and sell them for £5.95 per share holding.
How do I transfer in stock that I hold in the form of certificates?

thank you for your prompt reply and advice its much appreciated.
I really do know absolutely nothing about shares at all.
I'll peruse the link that you have provided and come back with any questions if I may.
Excellent thank you, that all seems straightforward enough.0
