Was wanting to go to Iceland for new year. We have 4 kids (3-14) and have found a lovely house to rent, and good prices flights.
But, on researching it, it appears Iceland doesn't really have snow?!?!? House is an hour away from Reykjavik. We want to do geysers and blue lagoon. And wanted the kids to just be able to have fun in proper snow too - and hopefully glimpse the northern lights!
Me & hubby did Norway (Tromso) last year on our own, so don't really want to go back to Norway. Didn't really want to o the whole Lapland thing either. (You say Lapland & it's twice as much - and our 2 eldest don't believe!) :-(
So - is there really little snow Xmas/new year? If so, where would you suggest?? Want a lovely log cabin/home somewhere in the open?
