Hi Guys Dilemma time! There is a cat who visits regulary (breaking and entry.... scoffing our cats food lol) He/she has been limping badly for the last 4 or so days, haven't seen him all weekend he has just turned up now, and is still limping, no idea where he lives, what do I do? He sems tame, doesn't run off like a feral when he's shouted at (by Husband) just saunters off like a gentleman!! Do I attempt to catch him, do I phone the RSPCA? I would hate to think of him suffering. I did recently take a stray cat to the vets (the one we use) and they rehomed her, she was lovely, and on her third home!!! (grrrrrrr) What should I do? I was thinking if I just got him and took him to our vets and told them he was in the road and limping would they have a duty of care, well, they helped with the last one right? Lol!!!

Can you put a paper collar around him to see if you can work out if he has a home. http://www.rspca-tameside-glossop.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/paper-cat-collar-1.pdf
If you don't hear anything in a few days take him to the vet like you have previously.
Just because he is still limping doesn't meant that he doesn't have owners that haven't taken him to a vet, he might be receiving treatment which will take time to work - yes his owners should probably keep him indoors with a bad leg - but its not always that easy.0
