No claim bonuses
Hello. I'm little bit confused so i need your help.
Alright lets start from NCB, I have 3 NCB and 3rd party only van insurance. If i'm guilty for accident and another driver claim on my insurance i'll lose my NCB, right? Or won't lose them until I claim my insurance only by myself. I hope you get me right.

What do the policy documents say?0 -
If you are third party only then you cannot claim yourself as you are only covered for damage done to others. A successful claim against your policy by a third party would lose 2 yrs NCBAll matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0

As above, you will lose some or all of your no claims if they claim from you.
You cannot claim from your insurance if you only have 3rd party cover. You need to pay for repairs or replacement yourself.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Thanks. And one more question. I got quote for comprehensive and it sounds like that:
Annual Price 1954£
Excess: voluntary excess: 500£ compulsory excess: 600£
So can you explain me these excess. If I'm guilty for an accident I have to pay 600£ isn't? I mean I won't claim for my car because it is too cheap to claim and I'll repair it for my own cash. But if other side asking from my insurance repair their car I'll have to pay 600£ am I right?
"If you claim your insurance..." - This sentence confusing me because I won't claim on my insurance but if anyone claim on my insurance. I hope you got me. Thanks for answers guys0 -
It means you pay the first £1100 towards any claim you make for your vehicle.
If your vehicle is worth £1100 or less it wont be worth claiming. If its worth £2000 you will only get £900 back.
Yes you have a claim against yourinsurance and need to declare that when getting quotes, whether you made a claim or a 3rd party claimed its against your policy.
Check the terms also, any losses, accidents, incidents even where no claim has been made. These should be reported also.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
If you claim on the above then you will HAVE to pay the 'compulsory' £600 set by them, and then you are 'volunteering' to pay an extra £500 on top of the £600.
You will have to pay £1,100 to settle any claims via yourself or another party.
So if you have an accident and damage another vehicle, but not your own. You have to pay £1,100 regardless.
If you have a self accident involving only yourself, you'll have to pay £1,100 to get your van/car fixed.
Hope that helps.0 -
Please read below because answers on top is not correct.0

So there's no excess to pay if the only damage is to another vehicle, or if you choose not to claim for your own repairs (which would be pointless if they can be done for less than £1100, or if the car is worth less than that).0 -
Sorry OP!
My bad.
Previous posters are indeed correct. Ignore my previous post.0
