Mortgage lender - someone elses wages go into the account.

Hi all
I have two current accounts, both in my name only. One of those accounts is used for my partners wages.
Nothing shady it was just away of me helping him manage money years ago, and we never had an issue so we just left it that way. He has his own account used for repaying debts only.
If I was to apply for a mortgage from the bank which his wages go into, and not mine will this affect the application in anyway? Would the bank see it as strange or 'not lend worthy' if that makes sense?

Why ever would you do that?
Is it a joint mortgage application?
I'm not the bank but i'd find that strange behaviour...0 -
Of course it won't be a problem. And I see no reason why you got that previous response about it being strange.
Look at it this way, if you applied for a mortgage from a bank or building society with which you had no account at all, no one would think it strange, people do it all the time so why is it strange if you apply to one with which you have an account?0 -

It makes sense when you put it thay way.. it's just that all I read is how much they are reading into everything now, you never know how they might read it but at least its not a big taboo0 -
You can apply for a mortgage from any bank, or lender, you wish. they will assess your applcation on your salary, credit history etc. They will not care where you bank, or where your partner banks, or who has access to his bank.0
