Pandarecycle.co.uk

Hi all,

Has anybody got any experience of dealing with panda recycle.co.uk?

To cut a long story short, they are very similar to music magpie and the like, however, I think myself and others have been victims of a scam.

Is there a way to get my money back? I've lost out on an iPad and also the money the company said they would pay for it. I know the item arrived there as I used tracked and signed for delivery so I'm at a loss of what to do. I've complained to trading standards about them but that won't return the iPad or any funds!

Thanks.

I sent my iPhone 5 64gb was told on the website i would receive £125, got an e-mail from them saying received the phone on 22nd December, then Phillip Ellis him self the director of this company e-mailed saying they could only offer me £85 !!! Did not accept asked for at least £100, he agreed to this over the phone when he phoned me, said payment would be within 3 working days ( on website it stated same day money transfer) waited 3 days as was over Christmas give them an extra week still no money.
e-mailed them again said they were having payment issues would receive payment within 3-5 working days, waited another week still no payment! phoned up said payment issues sorted will be within 3 working days... still no money after them 3 days!
Phoned up last week said i was on the emergency list and would be payed next day, waited 2 days still no payment. Phoned up again said i was on emergency list again and would be payed next day. Guess what still no payment 5 days later!
Tried to phone up all day yesterday no one answering phones, no reply to e-mails.
Phoned up today got through at 10am this morning spoke to Phillip again directly said i would be payed within 15 minutes..... 6 hours later still no payment!!!
Found Phillips personal mobile number on internet as he has a number of websites i believe and messaged him on whattsapp said i would be payed by end of the day and he could only make one payment per say??? strange!? ( he clearly doesn't have any money to pay for all his customers, he`s received our goods though) waited till end of the AGAIN NO MONEY IN MY BANK!!!

Excellent detective work, what a devious person. Don't waste any time and report it to the Police immediately as in my opinion he's possibly running a scam. Given his antecedence I certainly would not consider him of good character.

Give Watchdog a call or the Daily Mail, they love this sort of thing. However he may not care as perhaps he might be into his old drug using ways.

Unless it's a joke, reporting to the Police will be a waste of time. If they cared in the slightest there wouldn't be so many similar 'recycling' companies/scams around.

IMO, Small Claims Court is the only option in such cases, but it will be a waste of time too if the company doesn't have any assets to seize if it refuses to pay (most likely).

  • Hi All

Ok, good news. I reported them to trading standards after copious amounts of BullS*** from them and they acted. Received many emails from trading standards now and he has formally been interviewed. Now being passed for further action. :)
