Hi All
I never knew there was so much you could do with bank accounts!! I've just had a browse on this forum and its got the mind ticking but I don't know where to start with my finances.
Basically, I am due to complete on a sale and purchase of a house next week. I will be taking out £30k of equity from my house to upgrade the house I am buying. However, the work is going to be slow (over the next year or so) so I want to make sure I look after the money carefully and maximize my interest potential whilst also having easy access to my funds. I was just going to stick it in my barclays savings account which earns me next to no interest!
Please can anyone give me some guidance on this. I would be very grateful.

You might consider opening a 123 account and paying all cash back eligible DDs from it - the cash back could well cover the fee.

You might also consider a Club LLoyds account

a TSB Plus account

a Nationwide Flexdirect account

and a Tesco account to hold the creamed off interest.
