Hello All,
I booked a holiday via the breakfree website but made a mistake on the date of travel. I have asked if I can cancel the booking. They are saying you cannot get a refund due to the terms of the offer. Anyone encountered this problem before?

It would be the same booking through the Sun
ABSOLUTELY NO AMENDMENTS WHATSOEVER can be made by you after your holiday application has been received by us”.0 -
Can you not cancel within 7d under distance selling regulations? Maybe someone better informed can advise!0

just sell it on ebay theres always loads on there where people have booked and then dont go0

I will try and explore the distance selling regulation suggestion as I cannot be the only person who has booked the wrong date.0

Way I see it you agreed to the terms and conditions
. AMENDMENTS:
NO AMENDMENTS can be made by you after your holiday application has been confirmed online or your application received by post. No refunds can be made in the event of cancellation by you after the holiday confirmation has been issued to you in accordance with your application, unless the reason for cancellation is default by the park operator.0 -

No distance selling regulations don't apply to holidays.
I note the OP is asking for a refund- perhaps asking to amend the date rather than completely cancel might get a better result on a goodwill basis ?
(I booked one of these myself this morning -for our second trip with them. Amazing value . My partner wanted to book last night but I wouldn't let him til he'd confirmed his holiday dates this morning at work)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -

If you sell it on eBay there would be a charge to change the names otherwise you would be liable for any damages or late departures by whoever you sold it to0 -

I've always wondered why people risk doing this. You have no idea who the people are who you're selling it too. If they thrashed the caravan for example, then the onus would be on you to pay for any damages, not worth it. I'd rather just lose the money.0
