Multiple banks on credit file

So am now 6 months into my DRO-(it has absolutely FLOWN BY)!!!
I currently have 8 bank accounts and all show up on my credit reports. These seem to have a green tick each month as obviously no overdraft on them and accounts are well managed.
Is it therefore best for me to keep these accounts open- to reflect positively on my credit file seeing as I won't be able to get credit for a while?

Why do you need 8 bank accounts ?
Even though you are in a DRO are you really wanting to get back into debt again when it's over ?
Because the only reason to have a clean credit file is if you want to borrow money.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. WRONG! Wanting to repair my credit file does not automatically mean i am seeking credit nor that I am going to get into a financial mess- remember people go through insolvency for different reasons- why do you seem to ascertain that my DRO is due to recklessness with credit? In fact I wish you'd waited for a reply before jumping to assumptions about me; no , I would one day like to get a mortgage and before that be able to get a tenancy agreement on a rental property. I made mistakes hence the DRO however I am now living a life whereby u buy what I can afford to and don't rely on credit to live.
It's this stigma that pushes people to bury their heads in the sand when they get into money troubles... I have had a DRO but I budget very well and manage my money without credit. However sometimes, credit is a solution when buying a house or a car. If managed responsibly, there is no harm in a previously insolvent person regaining credit0 -

Hi,
Ok, point taken, sorry to of jumped the gun.
I'm glad you budget well, nothing wrong in wanting a mortgage either, thank you for correcting me on that point.
As for the 8 bank accounts, that's entirely up to you, but the more green ticks on your file the better.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. That's ok, and I apologise for ranting there- honestly didn't mean to shoot you down for it and I realise you simply jumped the gun and it wasn't personal.
You are completely correct in the 'why 8 accounts' thing though because I definitely don't need that many. I kind of opened up loads in a panic before my DRO was approved in case all the banks closed my accounts. As they didn't I'm left with accounts and can't decide who to stick with. But one of the banks I have been with for 10 years and this is good for my credit file I'm guessing so may leave them all open
How many accounts do you have/use?:beer:0
