Never heard of this. Is there any trust pilot reviews?0

I did a 12 day (!) .NET programming course with them several years ago. It was quite high-pressure, with at least 12 hours work per day. I passed all the exams, but some didn't, mostly those who didn't have much previous experience.
The people who attend these courses tend to be very focused on passing the exams, which can lead to cheating, but I didn't see much evidence of "brain-dumps" being used while I was there.
I think it's a good choice if you need to learn something quickly that you plan to start using immediately afterwards. My employer was paying. I think I'd choose a slower, cheaper way of learning if it was my own money.0 -
There are some online reviews I have since found that are pretty scathing.Yellowlawn

WobblyDog, I have 15 years of IT experience but not in the field I want to study in. I spoke to them and they assured me that I was suitable (anything for a sale I suppose). I thought it might be better in a classroom environment and they are an ISC approved training organisation. Most other providers do the course in 5 days.
Do employers downgrade your qualification if they know you did a cram session?Yellowlawn

Most Firebrand courses I've looked at take fewer days (although perhaps more hours) than competitors' courses, so I don't know what to make of this one. The question about employers view of training methods (intensive course vs. normal course vs. self-study) is a good one, but I don't know the answer to that either. My guess is that getting some post-training real-world experience with the technology would help a lot.0
