Sell the house, buy a sea-going boat, fill it with the Pot Noodles suggested earlier. Get yourself some solar panels and read up about solar cookers and similar. Learn to fish (learn to like fish) ... get a fishing rod. Buy a book about edible seaweed and how to cook limpets/mussels. Oh, don't forget to stock up on loo roll; Armageddon might be going on, but it's always good to have a comfy bum.

    Cast off.

I've been quietly assembling a survivalist militia for some time now. We're set to activate when the ports close. Other than that, I'm gonna buy a house. Should significantly bolster me against most problems on the horizon.
If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.

In anticipation of a plague of Triffids I'm thinking of moving to the Isle of Wight! :D

Does "bring it on!" amount to a contingency plan?
  • ...and, in all seriousness, I have a contingency plan - but wouldn't share it anyway (in case other people copied it).;)

I'm going to put another truck(s) on the road to cope with the increased demand for steel shutters, Pot Noodles, loo roll, fhishing rods and name change certificates. Will give Wymondham a lift home in the back of the trailer.

In reality, silver is now more rare than gold, and we arent allowed guns in this country so knives ;P

Grub is a good dea, Im stacking some large bags of rice and cheap tinned sardines. Both last years, and very cheap.
