    Is it made of Bricks or breeze block ?
    If so it may be load bearing.

    If its a stud wall divider, timber frame and plaster board, it is not load bearing.

    yes, timber frame and plaster board. single header/top plate. Basically want to cut out 1 stud to make way for new doorway.
  • Top skin off first and check for wiring and get a door with frame pre-pack, frame back up and plaster board and top skim.

    Not necessarily, but anyway you won't need building regs approval.a very simple job for a competent DIYer or professional.
